Observation
TRR outlets had plastic plug protectors inserted that pose a choking hazard for children. Plug protectors observed in all rooms and in the hallways accessible to children. Plastic bags and plastic gloves were accessible to children in the bathroom pose a choking hazard. Plastic food service gloves were accessible to children one classroom and in the hallway on a shelf. All pose a choking hazard. Push pins and battery packed type carrot light string bulbs, all accessible to children, all posing a choking and cutting hazard. 2 electrical panels in one classroom, do not have safety latches on them and are accessible to children. They pose a shock or burn hazard. Forks and serving utensils were observed in 1 classroom and in the hallway, all accessible to children. Poses a cut or puncture hazard. Doors, sliding type in classroom 5, are not secured, accessible to children, and a pinching and entrapment hazard. Broken decking boards viewed with holes posing an entrapment and falling hazard in the entry way leading to the front doors. Kitchen Door (unlocked) and Laundry Door (broken lock) were both observed accessible to children to appliances as a entrapment hazard. Not all teacher and storage type cabinets were viewed secured to the walls in all rooms and in the hallway. Some cabinets were observed totally unlocked, some with one door unlocked, and some with broken locks.
